Why Women Experience Low Sex Drive

Women experience low sex drive due to various reasons one being physical problems.  Illnesses such as Diabetes, Parkinson’s disease and stroke affect the nervous system and these medical issues can result in low libido in women.  Hormones also play an important role and any kind of hormonal imbalance also affects the sex drive.  Women experiencing menopause or pregnant women can experience low sex drive due to the irregular levels of the hormones estrogen and prolactin. Birth control pills, anti depressants and blood pressure pills can cause hormonal imbalance.

People who are overweight have less sexual desire and being overweight leads to many physical and mental issues like depression, tiredness, high cholesterol, etc.   For some women low sex drive is caused due to stress, financial problems which lead to decline in sexual interest.  If blood flow is not properly to the genital, then arousal becomes difficult and intercourse painful.
