Low libido and sex drive in women

There are a number of reasons why many women experience low sex drive.  Women suffering from disorders that affect the nervous system such as Diabetes, Parkinson's disease, and stroke; these affect the sex drive in women. Certain medications like birth control pills, blood-pressure pills, and anti-depressants, can cause hormonal imbalance and this causes low libido in women.

Any type of hormonal imbalance will also affect sex drive like women who are   experiencing menopause, are pregnant or postnatal may experience low sex drive, as a result of fluctuating levels of the hormones estrogen and prolactin. For some women, low sex drive is due to a psychological or emotional issue and the most common cause is stress/anxiety.

Being overweight and inactive are also some of the causes of low sexual desire. It is therefore necessary to exercise often or at least walk every day for 20-30 minutes per day as this can improve libido and sex drive.

If there is poor blood circulation to the genetalia, it makes arousal difficult and makes intercourse painful and unpleasant.  There are herbal supplements available which help blood flow to the genital and boost libido and increase sex drive in women in an effective and safe way.
